I got this book as a birthday present. I was thinking along teh lines of another cheap compilation and was glad for the gift receipt my beloved friend had put into the book (since I do own quite a number of herbals in two languages) However, before I brought it back I flipped through this one and then, threw away the gift receipt. BECAUSE this on eIS a keeper. The rest of this series is also very good.The book is nicely arranged and has ALL that is needed in a 'beginner's' Book regarding herbs. there is a section on specific herbs (there is not one book that is complete on that item taht I would be willing to pay for). and one on how to prep and use herbs. It also has some nice recipes that I am looking forward to try with the fresh herbs springing up in my garden...
If you look for an introduction to herbs and herbology, this one is a GOOD choice
